River Region Defense Council

Montgomery's military and defense footprint are rich both in heritage and impact, affecting Air Force and other defense operations around the globe. This council will bring unique military and defense partners together for updates and discussion. The River Region Defense Council brings together military commanders representing specific missions within the broader River Region footprint, including missions of the Alabama Air and Army National Guard, U. S. Air Force, and Reserve components. Several commanders will be invited to each meeting and provide a brief overview of current activities, needs, successes, and/or an outlook for the next year. The event will also include an update from the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce as part of a review of River Region Defense related activities during the year.
