Armed Forces Lunch 2010
The Huntsville/Madison County Armed Forces Celebration is a week-long series of events demonstrating our community support for those serving our nation in the military. Celebration events include concerts and performances by a number of military units, static displays, award ceremonies, and many special opportunities for the community to show its appreciation to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. The 2010 celebration will mark the 26th year since the community began the tradition of hosting a luncheon or dinner to honor our military. Over the years the event has grown to include a proclamation signing ceremony; a special military-themed “Concert in the Park; the Redstone Arsenal Soldier and NCO of the year luncheon; and several performances of the U.S. Army Soldier Show. This annual event to be held in November 2010 will allow community businesses the opportunity to bring "buyers" and "sellers" together face-to-face in a structured environment. Sponsorship opportunities are beneficial to both "buyers" and "sellers" in the public and private sector and provide an excellent opportunity to support our small business community. Participating "sellers" are scheduled appointment times throughout the day to market products and/or services to a variety of buyers. This offers companies of all sizes and sectors the opportunity to get valuable "face time" with purchasing agents. The purpose is to help corporate sales representatives "get their foot in the door" with groups they want to build a business relationship with.

CEO Roundtable Reception
A CEO Roundtable Reception offers a venue for current and potential CEO round table members to come together to learn more about the various groups. In addition, small business members of the chamber are invited to attend to network and learn more about the roundtables. Usually there are 125 attendees at each event. Two events are held each year in April and November. (Each Roundtable offers a forum in which CEO's, Presidents, and Owners can gain valuable insights into others' successes and achievements, and learn how to avoid the pitfalls of their mistakes.)

Politics After Hours - 2010
2010 promises to be an exciting year politically and the Chamber would like to try something new to help bring our membership and the public together with current office holders and office seekers. One week prior to the primary elections, the Chamber will host a Politics after Hours event from 5-7PM. We will invite our Chamber membership and the public at large to attend this event. We will also invite all current office holders and candidates whose names will appear on the June, August and November ballots to participate. While the Chamber does not endorse candidates, we do support involvement in the political process and feel strongly that the more our members and the public at large know about the candidates, the better the decisions that they will make. Chamber will invoice for all contracts and payment must be paid in full or other arrangements for payment must be made by August 31, 2010. A 25% cancellation fee will be charged if contract is canceled for any reason.
