• 4th Annual Women in Business Celebration

  The Chamber's Washington Trip is timed each year to put our Chamber and our Federal Agenda in DC just when the budgets that are most important to our community are being considered on Capitol Hill. Partnered with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, this trip is recognized as one of the most successful Chamber-hosted DC fly-ins in the nation.   This is a nine-month program (September - May) designed for high school sophomores and juniors. The class is made up of 30 - 35 youth. Edge is a development program designed to prepare high school students to become leaders in their school and community. The curriculum is similar to that of the adult program. The group meets one day a month for nine months. Each month is a different session. • Excellence In Leadership 2012/2013

  Excellence in Leadership is a leadership development program directed toward individuals in our community who demonstrate leadership potential. It is an opportunity to better understand our community and the challenges it faces and to prepare for those challenges by meeting with, and learning from, today's leaders. This program offers numerous educational opportunities to broaden perspectives and gain an increased understanding of community dynamics and public issues. The class is made up of 20 - 25 people. This nine-month program consists of nine sessions: Teambuilding 101, Decatur Now & Then, SimSoc, Local Government, Understanding our Education System, Criminal Justice, Health & Wellness, Alabama State Government (overnight trip to Montgomery), and Business & Economic Development.
