• Military Affairs Committee Honorary Commanders Program

  The mission of the Honorary Commanders program is to bridge the gap of understanding between local civic leaders and military commanders. The program is designed to build and maintain a solid, mutually beneficial relationship between the two groups. The selected civic leaders along with their assigned military commanders will provide each other with frequent opportunities to learn about their work, participate in functions and express their views on issues of mutual concern.   ATHENA is a committee of the Chamber of Commerce that seeks to assist women in Laramie County in achieving their full potential as leaders. The ATHENA Committee selects recipients of two awards, the ATHENA Award and the ATHENA Protege Award. The ATHENA Award is given to a person in the community that has worked to support the achievement of women in life and work.
