Manufacturing Month - October 2018

Enhance your brand and company awareness among 500 students and help fuel the manufacturing workforce pipeline for Montgomery. Manufacturing Month is a national event that promotes and celebrates careers in manufacturing to inspire the next generation. The Montgomery Chamber along with City and County elected officials team up with Montgomery Public Schools and local businesses to show students at Montgomery Preparatory Academy for Career Technologies (MPACT) that manufacturing careers are available, profitable and cool! This program highlights the many opportunities that exist in our area's manufacturing sector. Highlighted manufacturing tours at local existing industries are held throughout the month of October. At the beginning of the month, Montgomery Public Schools along with the Montgomery Chamber, City and County elected officials hold a kickoff event to get the students engaged and excited about their upcoming tours. Tours are provided throughout the month for MPACT students and breakfast is provided at the kickoff for approximately 500 students.
